Light rum is a spirit distilled from sugar cane or molasses. Then, it is aged between one or two years in oak barrels.

Light rum is also known as white rum or silver rum. Its light flavor makes it popular for mixed drinks specially tropical and fruity mixed drinks.

The majority of rum production is done throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
